About Me
I decided I wanted to be a psychologist in the 8th grade. That may seem like a strange choice for an 8th grader, but I've always felt drawn to listen to others and then compassionately partner with them in order to make things better. I believe each individual has the right and capacity to live a thriving life. We also face barriers that can derail these capacities and cause us to lose direction until we can’t tell the difference between thriving and declining. I can help YOU move in the direction you want.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialty in health psychology. Health psychology is a sub-specialty within clinical psychology that considers biological, psychological and social factors, and their interactions, as a way to understand physical and mental health and illness. I also have significant experience in treating depression and anxiety disorders. I have worked for over 10 years with clients in hospital and private practice settings. My practice focuses on clients who are trying to develop better health habits (e.g. smoking cessation, healthy eating habits, and stress management), manage disease and illness, address depression and anxiety disorders, and improve interpersonal relationships.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, supportive, direct, and action oriented. I will partner with you exactly where you are right now and we will work together to develop a thriving life: the life you’re destined for.
